Each session serves the purpose of raising our consciousness together toward the Christ Consciousness. Recordings of services will be made available a few days after each service to those who have signed up to the sessions on an ongoing basis. There is a link near the bottom of this page that explains how this Church came into being. The link above is for signing up.
What is the transformation you should expect from the call, which will be conducted in accordance with Christian principles:
1. You will sense an upward shift in your consciousness, in your feeling of being more fully present.
2. You will experience the presence of others including mine on the call. This will help you to raise your consciousness. We do it together even as we make make our own effort to move up.
3. You will feel more connected to both Jesus and God by the end of the call. The full development of this God communion will take time of course. There is no magic here, but there is a strong intention to move up in consciousness together which must by law be fulfilled. That is what grace is all about.
If you are on these calls, Jesus and God will also be there. This is neglected in not all, but in many church services, which is a missed opportunity. We are guaranteed Jesus’ presence in Jesus’ own words. In Matthew 18:20 Jesus is quoted as saying “For where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
Please join me and others on the same path then, but more importantly, join Jesus and God in true communion and transformation to the Christ consciousness. Guidelines for Our Time Together:
It’s important that everyone on the call set an intention to be present on the call as I will as well. We cannot practice presence if we do not set ourselves up to be fully present together on the calls. I do ask that you arrive a couple of minutes early, so that we can start on time. I’m committed to showing up on time each week barring technical impossibilities and you should be as well. If you need to come a few minutes late, that is OK, but just don’t announce yourself until there is a break. I appreciate that. And I’ll share with you my secrets for eliminating “lateness.” ; ) (One simple trick is to decide to be on the phone between 10 minutes to the hour and 5 minutes to the hour; you’ll likely be on time.)
It’s important when we do this work together that both you and I are committed to this process of raising consciousness and demonstrate that to each other. Plan on staying until the end as well. If this work is important to you, that is no problem at all. Tell the rest of the world when you will be free and when you are not, because you will be communing with God in living presence. When we are present together, there will be no question that you have experienced the presence of God as well. It can only happen when your phone is off, you are not surfing your computer or answering texts. I do understand that there can be emergencies, but those are often symptoms of resistance. I don’t expect you to come if you have a true emergency, but I do expect you to consider why the emergency happened. In the lack of presence, I can guarantee that the sessions will have little value. In presence, you will experience God’s presence.
I am sharing material with you that I share with my students, and the intention is that you raise your consciousness each and every time we are together. Sometimes, the full impact will take some time, but you will also bear the fruit of being consciously present in your life, the exact “amount of fruit” that you were meant to have. I’ve written about this on the blog if you want to read more on “receiving your good.” But before the fruit comes, there is effort that we need to make together to become more present. This Church is dedicated to the “How To” of it and to seeing tangible results in your relationship, health, and finances and receiving all of the good you were meant to see fulfilled in your life.

The teleconference number and passcode will be emailed to you after you complete the sign-up process. Music will play until I arrive which should be 1-5 minutes before the hour. We will end by 5 min past the hour at the latest.

Terms of Confidentiality and Participation (Note that this is an agreement that covers both your participation in the Church sessions as well as individual sessions and written and recorded materials and are required for me to keep the Church’s insurance payments to a minimum. – To help maintain the teachings of the Christian Church of EnlightenmentTM in pure form (hereafter, “the Church” or “Universal Ideas”), you as a Participant (hereafter “Participant” or “you”; David Durand, M.D. and other Ministers of the Church are referred by name and/or as “Minister”), agree to neither disseminate nor teach in any fashion information shared with you during the sessions whether done so through your live participation with a group or individually or through written materials and/or recordings of any kind without expressed written permission from the Christian Church of EnlightenmentTM. You agree to use the information solely for your private use and refer those who may be interested in this path to the Church for instruction. You agree not to share the call in numbers or any other service connection information with anyone. This will allow us to share information that would normally be shared only with those who take our course work.
– You agree also to hold the content of the sessions entirely confidential to preserve the anonymity of those participating. At the same time, you realize that you may want to address matters that you consider private to me on a 1:1 basis to maintain full confidentiality. We cannot guarantee the confidentiality of these sessions, but will certainly hold that intention.
– Some sessions and parts of sessions may be recorded. You, the Participant, agrees that for recorded sessions (whether a recording is being made will be indicated at the start of each recording as well as when the recording portion has ended if applicable) you release all rights to the use of the recordings for any purpose to Universal Ideas, LLC, the parent of the Church, without compensation to you. You also agree to be personally accountable for what you say about others on the call and hold Universal Ideas, LLC harmless for any such statements.
– The Participant understands that except in the case of gross negligence or malpractice, I or my representative(s) agree to full release and hold harmless Universal Ideas, LLC and/or David Durand, M.D. or other Minister(s) from and against any and all claims or liability of whatsoever kind or nature arising out of or in connection with my session(s) either in the group setting of the Church or individually or through written materials and/or recordings.
– The Participant agrees that the maximum amount of damages that may be recovered in compensation will be limited to the total amount of money paid to Universal Ideas or the Church (in case a separate non-profit or for profit entity is formed; this agreement is transferable to any such entity). The Participant in Church services and/or individual sessions with a Minister of the Church specifically recognizes that the sessions do not represent any form of psychological, psychotherapeutic, psychiatric, or medical counseling, diagnosis, or treatment of any kind. Although David Durand, M.D. is licensed to practice medicine in New York State and Florida, the participant understands that any discussion by any Minister of the Church concerning the health of the participant or any other matter represents opinion only and is does not constitute medical advice or treatment.
– The Participant agrees that all mentoring is educational in nature and that Ministers of the Church do not to give advice of any kind. The Participant understands that he/she should consult with appropriate licensed medical personal concerning health and psychological issues and with a licensed financial advisor concerning financial decisions as needed. The Ministers are not licensed financial advisors or brokers. The Participant further understands that any decisions he/she makes concerning his/her life are entirely his/her own and does not hold the Ministers or Church responsible for any outcomes whatsoever in his/her life including but not limited to life decisions, finances, jobs, relationships, health, and sense of well being. The Participant understands that the processes taught represent methods of addressing one’s thinking and the success that accrues to the Participant is due to the Participant’s own effort and commitment. The role of any Minister of the Church is simply to provide mentoring as to how the Participant can best make progress using the processes taught and facilitated.
– It is the Participant’s sole decision as to whether or not he/she will implement that mentoring in his/her life and hence the Participant takes full responsibility for all outcomes he/she experiences as a result of using any processes taught and/or utilizing the Facilitator’s insights. None of the terms of this Agreement can be waived or modified except by an agreement in writing signed by both parties. This Agreement represents the entire understanding of the parties and supersedes any other agreement regarding the same subject matter including verbal agreements. Unsubscribing by a Participant does not void any part(s) of this agreement. If part of this agreement is found unenforceable, then the rest of the agreement will still be in full effect. This agreement is governed by the laws of the United States and Florida and jurisdiction over any dispute arising under this Agreement will be exclusively within the courts situated in Sarasota County in the State of Florida (or in the county of David Durand, M.D.’s residence, should that change).
This is similar to standard boilerplate seen in any similar facilitation agreement, but it is the spirit of it that counts. I am here to help you on your path and you are here to take responsibility for your practice of the methods to achieve the raising of your consciousness and love.
